Notice how you react when you believe a thought that you have about someone.
Ask yourself 4 questions.
- Is it true? (Yes or no. If no, move to 3.)
- Can you absolutely know that it’s true? (Yes or no.)
- How do you react, what happens, when you believe that thought?
- Who would you be without the thought?
The answer is Free.
We are often afraid of the absolute truth. The truth that we are already holding right in our own hands.
Its important to find the turnarounds. If your original statement was
“Paul never listens to me , turn it around – it then becomes “I never listen to myself.” The truth.
What do your thoughts about another person say about yourself? Look at your reaction, turn it around. There in lies your truth.
Until you can see the enemy as a friend, your Work is not done
Byron Katie shows here how to turn it around so you can actually see what you are afraid of. It lies in your own reactions when you believe your thought. Your own thoughts or conclusions about another person are usually always about yourself. Try it.
